Big and Long Eyes

In Asian woman,Double eyelid surgery alone is occasionally unsuccessful result due to Mongolian epicanthal fold at inner corner of the eye, making short and stuffy appearance of double eyelid crease.

Surgical Procedure

Medial epicanthoplasty
Small incision is made at inner corner of eye. The skin fold and tight muscle are released and re-draped to get along with the line of double lid crease.
The suture line is hidden along the inner surface of eyes.

Possible Side Effect

Redness at the inner corner is common side effet in early phase of healing. Scar is not uncommon but it can be treated with steroid injection.

Recovery

Swelling is better in one week but red scar probably lasts longer.  Natural looking can be seen after 1-2 months.

Result

Elongation eye procedures not only increase the eye size to balance the facial width but also reshape the eye figure to more cheerful and energetic eyes.
