Highly advanced fat transfer procedure in plastic surgery

Among the hot issues in stem cell technology, adult stem cell extracted from fat or fat stem cell or adipose derived fat stem cell (ADSc) is most popular in plastic surgery. Recent researches have demonstrated that fat stem cell can be used for variety applications in regenerative medicine and surgery. Body fat is known as the largest donor site of adult stem cell. By the potent of stem cell, new blood vessel formation, cell differentiation and growth factors are the major interesting roles in regenerative medicine.

WHAT'S CAL?
Cell assisted lipo transfer (CAL) is a highly advanced procedure that transfer the mixture of extracted fat stem cell and transplanted fat cell to the any part of body. Stem cell enriched transplanted fat will survive in the surrounding tissue and become part of that tissue, allowing the highest possible rate and persistency of transplanted fat comparing to the conventional lipo transfer. Though conventional lipo transfer contains some stem cells, the amount is not enough causing higher survival rate for larger volume transfer like as breast augmentation. Additional, CAL also decreases known adverse effects of fat injection such as formation of fibrosis, pseudocyst and calcification that are the most unlikely side effect found in conventional breast lipo transfer.

HOW TO HARVEST ADSc?
Fat stem cell will be harvested and extracted through the well known system like as Lipokit and Maxstem. Microfat injection technique is used to transfer the mixture of fat stem cell and transplanted fat to achieve the best result of CAL procedure.

However, cell assisted lipo transfer (CAL) is beneficial in specific indication like as large volume fat transfer. In general fat transfer, microfat injection is still a good procedure especially in the face.
